Maintaining of acid-base balance

acid-base balanceBehind many chronic diseases can hide the problem for increased acidity of the body, which leads to damage to cells and organs. In almost all cases the cause of the increased acidity is a modern food welfare.

How appears metabolic acidosis (increased acidity)?
If the feed as our ancestors, potatoes, vegetables and cereals would be our main food. In the Western world today but every day we consume meat, fish, cheese and import in the body very acidic ingredients. Fluid intake also affects the acid-base balance. Usually you do not drink enough water and quench their thirst with coffee or alcohol vain are considered drugs. Lack of exercise, stress at work or during leisure time, as well as nicotine also contribute to the problem. People with high acidity of the body may feel “addicted” to sour – to tend to the consumption of citrus fruits, acidic wines, pickles, coffee, soft drinks and carbonated mineral water. They often refuse spring water and say they do not feel thirsty.

Causes of acid-base imbalance
They are many and variety: from certain diseases and drug effects to external reasons such as lack of fresh food, excessive use of meat, alcohol, preservatives, inadequate fluid intake, insufficient movement in the fresh air, too much stress and others. Sugar, coffee, black tea and cigarettes also have a strong acidic effect. Increased acidity can trigger a number of ailments and diseases including: high blood pressure, heart attack, rheumatic pain, osteoporosis, gout, high cholesterol, heart palpitations, insomnia, chronic fatigue, cellulite, premature skin aging and wrinkles and many others. In a state of acidosis, connective tissue can no longer regulate the optimal cellular metabolism. It is endangered and slowed the overall metabolism and function of the immune system is increasingly difficult, provided to inadequate or deficient immunological reactions (susceptibility to infections, fungal infections, allergic reactions, tumors). Other possible consequences of a hidden hyperacidity are: constant fatigue and decreased performance; apathy, lack of mood or irritability, inner restlessness; itching and skin rashes, acne; overproduction of gastric acid, acid eructation, abdominal cramps, and pain; increased sensitivity to pain, insomnia, and the like.

Recommendations on diet
The food should consist of 75% to 25% alkaline and acidic food products.
Highly acidic foods include: meat and sausages, rice, bulgur, white flour, but black or wholemeal bread (especially freshly baked bread!), Hard and soft cheeses, cottage cheese, refined sugar and all sugar-containing products, peanuts, corn flakes, alcohol, coffee and more.
Eat raw food until 15 pm.! Chew it well, because poorly chewed salads and fruits can cause irregular digestive processes and the effects will not be alkaline and acid! Whether a basic foodstuff may deploy its effects in our body depends on how and when we eat. Fast food leads to incorrect digestive processes in the gut, accompanied by putrefaction and fermentation.
Mineral salts to regulate the acid-base balance. Food give us with substances that can accept only if the cell is able to do so.
